Support for our Profession
Lynne Bynum, President AMAOPS
David Josyln, First Vice President & Chairman of Membership Committee
Dear Friends, It is time to join with us again.
The Auxiliary is much more than a social club and no longer a bunch of women, as our first vice president David Josyln
will testify, if you have a desire to make a difference in this profession you will find a place here. The Auxiliary supports
the profession not only making the convention a wonderful experience, but with scholarships, assistance to MAOPS
and as lobbyist to the legislature. This wonderful group works hard to further the goals of the profession. Please join us
to lend your support either financially or with your energy and imagination.
Sincerely,
Lynne Bynum

TO ALL SPOUSES AND VARIOUS SIGNIFICANT OTHERS OF OSTEOPATHIC PHYSICIANS:
GREETINGS FROM AMAOPS!
(That's the "Auxiliary to the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.") If the MAOPS name
isn't unwieldy enough, we throw in another four-syllable word!
If you are not yet a member of AMAOPS, or your membership has lapsed, we invite you to join NOW!*
AMAOPS helps to promote osteopathic medicine as a uniquely valuable healthcare entity.
Further, we help fund and promote osteopathic education. we aid with legislative and policy issues. We are alert to help with social and
emergency needs germane to the profession. (Ask the osteopathic family at Kirksville, who suffered the effects of a tornado last year!)
AMAOPS helps provide networking and socializing opportunities for members, friends and families of the profession;
and always provides special events for the annual MAOPS/AMAOPS convention. We always stand ready to assist MAOPS
in any way possible.
Oh yes-- why M&M's?? Well, like other organizations, we need two things to achieve our goals:
MEMBERS and MONEY. If AMAOPS is faithful to work toward our goals, there will be those who can and will
contribute time and effort. But the moral and monetary support of many others makes it all possible. Even our new
First Vice President/Membership Chair, David Joslyn is quick to point
out he was "just" a dues paying member for over 20 years.
Membership dues for AMAOPS is nominal, but with enough members, the results can be PHEnomenal!
Sincerely, the AMAOPS Board
